Warranty Policy and Info

We love the outdoors and we all play hard. And the gear we play on are bound to take some abuse. We understand this and provide a warranty against defects and workmanship. Each new product is covered by Green Owl's manufacturer's warranty. Green owl will make all warranty decisions. Purchasing "Used" Green Owl gear doesn't come with a manufacturer warranty.

What is your product warranty?

We offer a limited warranty on our products for two years from date of purchase. Our warranty covers all problems related to manufacturing defects.  It does not cover minor damage like scuffs, small dings or normal wear and tear (after 2 years from original purchase date), because that's a waste of perfectly good gear.  We also will not cover really dumb things that you may do, like backing over gear with your car or melting your gear in a fire pit (we've seen it all). If Green Owl Gear breaks under normal use, we'll replace them for you.  This warranty doesn't cover lost items, but drop us a line and maybe we can get you a deal. If you are having issues with your product and it is still under warranty, please Contact Us and we will happily help.

If you're here with a possible warranty already, read on for how to make it right.

What is not covered by the Manufacturer’s Warranty

We reserve the right to decide if your damage is covered under our two year warranty, but tell us a good story and we'll likely be pretty lenient. Scroll to the bottom of the page to submit your claim and please allow at least two weeks to process your claim AFTER we receive your broken gear. Once we receive them and they are processed you will get an email with a specific code for your warranty (PLEASE NOTE: this email can sometimes end up in your promotions or spam folder).

The following information has been created to help you, our customer, by highlighting situations in which manufacturers will not honor the manufacturer warranty of a product (based on our experience). It is the manufacturer’s decision whether a product meets the warranty qualifications.

Prior to returning your equipment to Green Owl for warranty review, please use the following situations as a guide of what may not be covered.

  • UV damage (i.e. discoloration, brittleness, etc.)
  • Elemental and/or accidental damage (wind, burns, animal bites)
  • Improper care or use (hanging hammock over 18", jumping, swinging, etc.)
  • Normal wear and tear (after 2 years from original purchase date)
  • After-market design modifications
  • Lost and/or stolen product
  • Products purchased through our sale section, 3rd party marketplaces, or closeout retailers.
  • Intentional Abuse - Now we know that customers of Green Owl would never do this, but it is widely known within the industry that some individuals will try to completely destroy their gear in hopes of getting it covered under manufacturer warranty. This will not work. Breaking the gear more than it had already been damaged is a common tactic used by some. This type of damage is not covered by manufacturer’s warranty. Green Owl Tip: Don’t do it! Duh!

Did you read all of the above?  Do you promise you're not going to send us your melted hammock from a camp fire or gear that you backed over with your car?  Or little broken bits of gear put through a blender?

Perfect, submit your warranty claim.

If you are unsure if your item is still under warranty send us an email to info@GreenOwlGear.com

If your style/item has been discontinued?

If your style has been discontinued, reach out to us and we'll figure something out for you.  Some styles just had to be discontinued to make room for the new - this is the way things go.  Thanks for understanding :)
